Discipline Coordinator for Pediatric Dentistry-Duane K.Yamashiro, DDS, MS
Dr. Yamashiro is currently the Medical Director for the Pediatric Dental Department at PCMC. One of only two dually trained pediatric dentist/orthodontist specialists in Utah; Dr Yamashiro has served on the CSHCN Orofacial/Craniofacial Team since 1984. His professional expertise includes direct patient care and clinical duties, resident training, quality assurance, risk management, curriculum development, and accreditations. Dr. Yamashiro will be responsible for integrating URLEND trainees into the Pediatric Dental Clinic at PCMC as well as mentoring and supervising pediatric dental residents. Dr. Yamashiro has requested that Pediatric Dentistry be one of the first departments that the URLEND Program assists in infusing information about children with ND/RD into their existing curriculum.
