URLEND Project Co-Director, Lisa Samson-Fang, M.D.

Dr. Samson-Fang is a Developmental Pediatrician in the Department of Pediatrics. She joined the Division of General Pediatrics in 1998 following her fellowship at Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center at the University of Virginia and previously spent two years as Director of Pediatrics at the Crownpoint Indian Health Service Hospital on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. She currently works at the University of Utah Pediatric Clinic providing primary care to children with a focus on those with special health care needs, at PCMC's Down Syndrome Clinic and the cerebral palsy and osteogenisis imperfecta clinics at the Intermountain Shriner's Hospital. Dr. Samson-Fang's academic interests are primarily in nutrition in children with cerebral palsy and the general and primary care of children with special health care needs. She is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the URLEND program, including collaborative agreements between the College of Medicine and the various clinical sites.
