Maryellen McClain Verdoes, PhD, NCSP, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Utah State University (USU) and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. McClain Verdoes earned her BA from the College of Wooster and her MSEd and PhD from Indiana University. She completed her internship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. She continued her training in Memphis and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental disabilities at the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities at UTHSC. Dr. McClain Verdoes joined the Psychology Department at USU in 2016 and is on the program faculty of the nationally accredited MS/EdS School Psychology program. Dr. McClain Verdoes' research interests are in the area of evidence-based assessment and intervention, neurodevelopmental disabilities, as well as cultural and linguistic diversity. At USU, Dr. McClain Verdoes teaches psychoeducational assessment and school-based academic and behavioral interventions. Prior to her involvement with URLEND, Dr. McClain Verdoes was a LEND trainee at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana and at UTHSC.
