Melissa Crist, Education: Early Childhood

I am the Director of IdahoSTARS Programs at the University of Idaho’s Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD). IdahoSTARS houses multiple quality initiatives for early care and education in the state of Idaho. I hold a blended early childhood teaching certification, certifying her to teach both general and special education for children birth to eight years of age. I have worked in the field of early childhood education/early intervention for the last fifteen years. In 2013 I completed a master’s degree in family and consumer science with an emphasis in early childhood inclusion. I am a native Idahoan, originally from Boise, Idaho. I now reside in Moscow, Idaho with my husband and two children. In my spare time I enjoy regular yoga practice, a good book, and spending time outdoors hiking, biking or fly fishing.
