Melissa Crist, Education: Early Childhood
I am a clinical faculty member at the University of Idaho’s Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD. I serve as both the Child Care Health Consultant Program Coordinator and Early Childhood Inclusion Specialist for the CDHD’s IdahoSTARS Project. I hold a blended early childhood teaching certification, certifying me to teach both general and special education for children birth to eight years of age. I have worked in the field of early childhood education/early intervention for the last fourteen years. In 2013 I completed a master’s degree in family and consumer science with an emphasis in early childhood inclusion. I am a native Idahoan, originally from Boise, Idaho. I now reside in Moscow, Idaho with my husband and two children. In my spare time i enjoy regular yoga practice, a good book, and spending time outdoors hiking, biking or fly fishing.
