Melissa Mower, Nurse Practitioner

I am originally from northern Virginia, but I moved to Utah in 2006 and attended Brigham Young University. I graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in nursing. In 2016, I started the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Utah. Three degrees is plenty :). Since 2014 I have worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Primary Children's Hospital. I absolutely love it! I hope to continue working with children as a nurse practitioner in an outpatient setting when I graduate. I love hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family. My husband and I are remodeling our townhouse and it has been fun to learn new skills. We tiled our living room and kitchen ourselves...that was quite the adventure! I am excited for the URLEND program. It is an incredible opportunity and I am so excited to learn how to advocate for children with neurodevelopmental disorders!
