Nikki Baldwin, Education: Early Childhood

I earned a PhD from the University of Wyoming in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in early childhood general and special education in 2013. I am a member of the University of Wyoming early childhood faculty and the Curriculum Director at the UW Early Care and Education Center. I teach early childhood general and special education classes and supervises early childhood student practicum placements for the university. I also lead an international early childhood internship every-other-year, taking students to work in preschools and schools for children with disabilities in Kathmandu, Nepal. I recently completed a sabbatical as a visiting fellow at Fiji National University in Lautoka, Fiji. Before coming to UW I was an early childhood special educator working with young children with disabilities and their families in rural southwest Wyoming. I love travel, gardening, reading, and spending time in the mountains with my daughter and our dog Molly.
