Kimi Eames, Social Work

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Boise, Idaho. I graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice in 1999. I went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Boise State University in 2009. I am currently a Registered Social Work Supervisor with the State of Idaho and provides supervision for postgraduates pursuing clinical licensure in Idaho. I have practiced clinical social work in multi-cultural settings for the past 8 years and my passion is serving those who have arrived to the U.S. via the refugee resettlement program. I worked at Saint Alphonsus Center for Global Health and Healing, International Clinic for four years as a social worker on an interdisciplinary team. The Center for Global Health and Healing was recently granted funding through the Office of Refugee Resettlement to create the Program for Survivors of Torture. I was a member of the team that is developing the program and is currently providing mental health services to survivors in the program. Additionally, I provide mental health therapy to members of the Boise community in my private practice. I am looking forward to my time with URLEND and learning from others in a multidisciplinary environment.
