Alyssa Neuman, Psychology

I am a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at Washington State University, working in the Gartstein Infant Temperament Lab. My primary interests are in the developmental outcomes of maternal health and the prenatal environment, and I have enjoyed making connections between what I am learning and a previous position working with parents and children who experienced domestic abuse and were usually recovering from trauma. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with Psychology and Pre-Med majors and a Biology minor in 2014. Apart from school work and research, I enjoy gallivanting around the Palouse and attempting to sustain patio plant life. In terms of future goals: I am specializing in child work now and eventually hope to enter a career involving both research and clinical practice in pediatric or women's reproductive health psychology.
