Tara Ross, Health Administration

E-mail: taraross111@gmail.com

I was born and raised in Shelley, Idaho and have lived in Salt Lake City for 4 years. I received my Bachelor's degree in health society and policy and am working on a dual Master's degree in healthcare administration and public health from the University of Utah and plan to graduate December 2019. I have worked in clinical and administrative roles as a medical assistant and certified nursing assistant at various nursing homes, Riverton Hospital and Primary Children's Hospital. Currently, I am an intern with Intermountain Healthcare in the executive leadership office. I have the opportunity to work on financial, community health, and administrative projects. My interests in healthcare started out young, when my younger brother spent almost a year in and out of Primary Children's Hospital. I hope to be able to improve the healthcare delivery system to those in rural areas as well as bridge the gap between clinical and administrative workers. My areas of interests include population health management and pediatrics, and someday I hope to mold the two and work in public policy in Washington DC. In my free time I enjoy hiking, watching movies, and trying out new restaurants
