Bobbie Henry, Parent

I live in Cody, WY with my husband, Tyler and future superhero, Oscar, who is 10 and future Princess Doctor, Everleigh who is 6.

Our son Oscar has autism, which had led me to become a Parent Mentor for families that have a child with autism through Wyoming Family to Family. This past year, I have been fortunate to be able to expand on working with autism families through Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND), part-time, as a Project Coordinator where I have been able to help grow the mentorship program as well co-coordinate on UW ECHO for Families: Autism, which gives Wyoming families live virtual interaction with other autism families. I am also a member of the AAP Family Partnership Network where I can participate in various AAP initiatives that surround autism.

My goals are to share my experience as an autism parent, as well as gain leadership skills, so that I may help reach all families in Wyoming that have a child with autism and guide them through the journey with their child to help overcome the obstacles and close the gap in services that exists in our rural communities.

I really enjoy cooking for family and friends, fly fishing in our beautiful surrounding waters, and skiing with my family at nearby ski hills.
