Judith M. Holt, Ph.D., URLEND Project Co-Director
Dr. Holt is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Special
Education and Rehabilitation at USU and is also the Division Director
for Interdisciplinary Training at the Center for Persons with Disabilities.
She has broad experience in interdisciplinary training including serving
from 1990 to 2000 as the Interdisciplinary Training Director for the Arkansas
UAP in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences. Dr. Holt was recruited to USU in 2000 and has established
both the URLEND and IDT programs at USU. Dr. Holt brings extensive experience
in developing successful interdisciplinary training programs and is conversant
with strategies for securing and maintaining cross-institutional collaboration.
Dr. Holt has also developed and implemented training programs in areas
ranging from family support initiatives for Hispanic families to the use
of Social Security and Medicaid Work Incentives. She is responsible for
ensuring that all components of the Core Curriculum are successfully implemented,
coordinating regional activities and ensuring the URLEND trainees complete
their Individualized Leadership Development Plans.
