Monica is originally from the Bear Lake area located on the border of northern Utah and Idaho. She received her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Utah. Since graduation, she has worked for many years in Wyoming in the education setting with children ranging in age from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
She is returning to Utah State University to receive her doctorate in Audiology. Her future goals include working with children with cochlear implants either in a hospital or clinical setting. She is also interested in studying language and literacy skills in children with cochlear implants.
When not at work, Monica enjoys spending time outdoors boating, biking and spending time with her dog Poe. She loves traveling to do humanitarian service and looks forward to being involved in Rotaract during her time at Utah State University.
