The URLEND program received initial funding from the Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB) in July of 2001 and successfully competed in 2006 and 2011 for additional years of funding. URLEND is a collaborative endeavor with the University of Utah (UofU); Utah State University (USU); Utah Department of Health (UDOH) Bureau of Children with Special Health Care Needs (BCSHCN); and Utah Family Voices (UFV).

Additional partner agencies and programs in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming include the University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), Family Voices, and CSHCN programs. The URLEND Program is administered through the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and Utah State University.

A video highlighting the activities of the UCEDD at Utah State University is a great example of the work that UCEDD's do and its important impacts. Some URLEND faculty are at various parts of the video and one component of our program is highlighted from the time marks of 6:30 - 7:35. We encourage watching the entire video to better understand the role that UCEDD's play in working with people with disabilities and in promoting positive social change.
